A Boat Assumes Shape

This is just a short update to showcase the progress the boat has made. These images are from the turning of the hull, as the construction begins up-side down. You can see how sturdy the hull is constructed and get an idea of the safety reserves the vessel will have.

A view of the framework directly on the bow while still inverted and obviously without hull plating. You can see the massive ice-breaking foot of the keel.

Just before the turning of the hull, which gives you a sense of the size. If you wonder where the "rest of the keel" is: it will be attached at a later step, since it is retractable. The boat is designed to be able to rest on its own retracted keel-box and can therefore safely dry out, given the proper tidal conditions.
This is the construction so far. There will still go many months into the land before we can take over our boat, but the time is worth waiting for a vessel which will enable us to essentially go anywhere.
